Bonus: In the spirit of haiku, here's my 2013 wrap-up in three screenshots.
You can do three shots can't you?

A friend heard me reading a cherry blossom haiku on NPR (I know, right?) and called to say, “I rather like hearing you read the haiku. It’s more convenient than reading it myself.” So I started this blog just for her, and now you. 154 haiku and counting.

Through a series of miracles—or rather, thanks to miraculously kind and helpful people—this somehow happened. Thank you, Suzanne Weber, Monika Verma, and Running Press.

By now completely delusional, I wondered whether Suburban Haiku might magically appear on NickMom. The truly motherfunny Nicole Leigh Shaw introduced me to the wonderful NickMom team and the next thing you know this happened.

And one more shot for 2014. Cheers! The story starts here. I really think you're gonna like it, you guys.

I wish each of you the very best of everything in the coming year. I can't wait to see where it takes us.
